What This Tool Checks
This tool combines three classical checks to verify a candidate birth time: the KP (Krishnamurti Paddhati) Ruling Planets technique, the KP 1st/9th cusp relation rule, and the Parashara Isht Kala / Vighati method. The first two rely on Cuspal Sub Lords, which can shift every 4-5 minutes - so they catch even small timing errors.
For the Ruling Planets technique you pick a number between 1 and 249 yourself, at the moment you ask - this is a deliberate part of the classical method, so it is never generated automatically for you.
How the Three Checks Work
Ruling Planets: a chart is cast for the exact moment and place you ask the question, and its 5 Ruling Planets (day lord, Ascendant sign/star lord, Moon sign/star lord) are checked against your birth chart's own Ascendant sign lord, star lord and sub lord.
1st/9th cusp relation: the 1st cusp (Ascendant) and 9th cusp should share at least one of star lord or sub lord, and there should be some relation between the two cusps' sign-lord planets.
Parashara Isht Kala / Vighati: the interval from sunrise to your birth time is converted into Vighatis, and the result is checked against your real Moon nakshatra - if it does not match, the nearest matching time is computed for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to provide life events?

Not for the first three checks. Life events are only optional input for the fourth Bhrigu Nadi step, which is currently only partially implemented (just 4 of 26 BSP rules are available so far).
What if none of the checks match?

Try re-running the check with your birth time shifted a few minutes earlier or later, especially around the corrected time the Parashara Vighati step suggests.
